Cherie Fine has a passion for helping clients navigate some of life’s most difficult challenges, bringing both compassion and decades of legal experience to every case. She’s known for her steady leadership, sharp advocacy, and unwavering commitment to her clients.

Born in Orlando and raised in DeLand, Cherie is a proud Gator alum who first studied art at the University of Florida before earning her law degree with honors from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. In her early career, Fine practiced with the Gainesville firm of Watson, Folds, Steadham, Sproull, Christmann & Brashear, P.A., and served as Assistant Director of Legal Research & Writing at UF Law. During that time, she received the Recognition of Service Award from the Legal Panel of the ACLU of Florida.

From 1993 to 1998, Cherie was a partner at Springfield & Fine, P.A., where she built her reputation in criminal defense law and served as president of the Eighth Judicial Circuit Chapter of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. She joined Fine, Farkash & Parlapiano, P.A. in 2003 and became a partner in 2008. In addition to representing her own clients, she handles the firm’s operations, hiring, and policies, and proudly represents the firm at professional and community events.

Cherie’s leadership can be seen outside of the courtroom as well. In 2014, she represented the University of Florida’s College of Fine Arts at National Arts Advocacy Day in Washington, D.C., the nation’s largest gathering of arts advocates. Here, she met with legislators to champion arts education and funding for the National Endowment for the Arts. She’s also a founding member of the Eight Judicial Circuit Child Advocacy Center, past president of Friends of Music at the University of Florida, and former vice president of the Alachua County Humane Society.

Today, her practice is focused on personal injury law where she continues to advocate for individuals and families with the same dedication that has defined her career. Cherie’s commitment to professionalism and service has been recognized with the James L. Tomlinson Professionalism Award, the highest honor of the Eighth Judicial Circuit Bar Association. She is also an active member of The Gerald T. Bennet American Inn of Court and currently serves as Vice President of The James C. Adkins, Jr. American Inn of Court.

When she’s not practicing law, Cherie enjoys starting her mornings with coffee and Pilates, baking for friends and family, and spending time with her two granddaughters, Harper and June.

Fun Fact:

She has chickens and bees. 🙂

“Few will have the greatness to bend history itself, but each of us can work to change a small portion of events. It is from numberless diverse acts of courage and belief that human history is shaped. Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring those ripples build a current which can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance. ”

I know when I call Fine, Farkash and Parlapiano I am in good hands. Paul is so helpful at the front desk, and Hannah has told me nothing but good things about them. I feel good knowing that FFP works hard for the best outcome with all of their clients.
