Cherie Fine has a passion for helping clients navigate some of life’s most difficult challenges, bringing both compassion and decades of legal experience to every case. She’s known for her steady leadership, zealous advocacy, and unwavering commitment to her clients.
Raised in DeLand, Florida, Cherie is a proud Gator alumna who first studied art at the University of Florida before earning her law degree with honors from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. In her early career, she practiced with the Gainesville firm of Watson, Folds, Steadham, Sproull, Christmann & Brashear, P.A., and served as Assistant Director of Legal Research & Writing at UF Law. During that time, she received the Recognition of Service Award from the Legal Panel of the ACLU of Florida.
From 1993 to 1998, Cherie was a partner at Springfield & Fine, P.A., where she built her reputation in criminal defense law and served as president of the Eighth Judicial Circuit Chapter of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. She joined Fine, Farkash & Parlapiano, P.A. in 2003 and became a partner in 2008. In addition to representing her own clients, she handles the firm’s operations and proudly represents the firm at professional and community events.
Cherie’s leadership can be seen outside of the courtroom as well. In 2014, she represented the University of Florida’s College of Fine Arts at National Arts Advocacy Day in Washington, D.C., the nation’s largest gathering of arts advocates. Here, she met with congressional leaders to champion arts education and funding for the National Endowment for the Arts. She was also a founding member of the Eighth Judicial Circuit Child Advocacy Center. She is the past president of the Friends of Music at the University of Florida and former vice president of the Alachua County Humane Society. She continues to serve on the boards of both organizations.
Today, her practice is focused on personal injury law, where she advocates for individuals and families with the same dedication that has defined her career. Ms. Fine is a board member and has served as President of the Eighth Judicial Circuit Bar Association. Her commitment to professionalism and service has been recognized with the James L. Tomlinson Professionalism Award, the highest honor of the Eighth Judicial Circuit Bar Association. She is also an active member of The Gerald T. Bennet American Inn of Court and currently serves as Vice President of The James C. Adkins, Jr. American Inn of Court.
Cherie also enjoys starting her mornings with coffee and Pilates, baking for friends and family, hosting a social media series “Baking the Law,” and spending time with her two granddaughters, Harper and June.
I have thankfully never needed a personal injury attorney, but if I did, I would choose Fine, Farkash & Parlapiano and Jonathan Ramsey. I know his assistant Shelley and hear how hard they work for the client, even if the settlement is not millions. They care about the person. I have told friends who hire other offices and complain, that they should have called FFP!
