Florida Car Accidents
Florida’s roads are some of the busiest in the country, and with that heavy traffic comes a high risk of serious car accidents. Each year, hundreds of thousands of crashes occur across the state, resulting in injuries that range from minor to life-altering. Whether it’s a fender bender in a crowded intersection or a high-speed collision on the interstate, the impact on those involved can be devastating.
Several risk factors consistently contribute to injury-causing accidents throughout Florida:
- Speeding: Driving above the limit shortens reaction time and intensifies the severity of collisions.
- Distractions Behind the Wheel: From texting and talking on the phone to adjusting the radio, any lapse in attention can lead to a crash.
- Tailgating: Following too closely is a major cause of rear-end accidents, especially in stop-and-go traffic.
- Improper Lane Changes: Failing to signal or check blind spots can result in sideswipes and dangerous collisions.
- Inclement Weather: Sudden downpours and slick roads make driving conditions unpredictable and hazardous.
Being injured in a crash can quickly turn your life upside down. Medical appointments, physical therapy, lost wages, and chronic pain can take a toll on your health, your finances, and your peace of mind.
