Jonathan was born in the small town of York, Nebraska. However, his family quickly got tired of the cold and moved to Miami, Florida when he was just 3. He stayed in Miami until he completed high school, where he graduated Valedictorian of his class.

Jonathan then went to Florida State University where he graduated Summa Cum Laude in only three and a half years. While at FSU, Jonathan interned at both the University affiliated newspaper as well as their radio station. After working for a few years, Jonathan went back to school getting a Master’s in Political Science from the University of Florida. Jonathan used this education when he worked in several political campaigns including a winning campaign in which he was the campaign manager. “Growing up people always told me I should become a lawyer because I was talented at arguing. Being a lawyer was not something that appealed to me. The thought of being stuck in an office and doing billable hours was something that simply didn’t interest me. It wasn’t until I got older, and I saw how I could use my abilities to help people, to help my community that I found my calling. And that is what I strive to do every day as an attorney: to help my community.”

Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness, Value

I cannot say enough good things about JR and his team. My son was hit by a truck from behind as a pedestrian and JR came highly recommended. From the very first phone conversation I knew that JR was the right choice for us. Through this entire ordeal JR and his team have been more like family than attorneys. I wanted to give a special shout-out to Shelley, who always went above and beyond.
